Modular Helmet CGM 506A Osaka Matt Blue (double visor)
The system helmet 506A Osaka from CGM has an integrated extra tinted inner visor, is available in four colours and is equipped with an external visor with an enlarged field of vision. The inner lining is removable, making this helmet easy to maintain.
With good ventilation in the front, top and back of the helmet so that enough fresh air can flow in. This helmet also has a nose deflector, which ensures that there is as little condensation as possible when wearing the helmet. The helmet also has a chin deflector that suppresses external noise.
Scratch resistant paintEach shell, after being smoothed, is given several layers of varnish. The outer shell is then coated with a transparent, scratch-resistant varnish. This makes the helmet less prone to damage.
Polycarbonate shellA polycarbonate outer shell is relatively cheap to produce, which makes the helmets affordable. The helmet is produced by using a mould where the material is poured and compressed. By using plasticizers, the plastic becomes elastic. Through exposure to UV-light and various weather conditions, these plasticisers deteriorate. This means that a polycarbonate helmet should be replaced after approximately 5 years.
Front and/or rear ventilation systemThe ventilation system consists of air inlets at the front and/or rear. Through air channels in the inner shell, the incoming air is guided through the helmet. In this way, the rider experiences a constant air flow which also guarantees a pleasant temperature inside the helmet.
Perimetrical rimThe outer shell is finished with a plastic rim. This not only provides a neat finish but also offers protection to the outer shell. If the helmet is dropped on the ground, it is not immediately damaged.
Long Visor with anti-scratch treatmentThe visor can be damaged during use. The small scratches can reduce visibility on sunny days. The anti-scratch coating makes the visor less prone to damage. However, do not let sharp objects such as jewellery or keys come into contact with the visor. Because of the coating, the visor should only be cleaned with water and dish soap. Use of strong detergents can damage the coating.
Large surface VisorIn order to have an even better view of the road, the visor is equipped with a larger surface. This gives the driver a better view of the traffic from the side. This enhances comfort and safety while riding.
Integrated sun visorThe integrated sun visor is easy to use. By pulling the lever of the visor, the visor comes down. This way, you don't have to wear sunglasses on sunny days. The sun visor blocks most of the sun's rays and can be combined with sunglasses. When it gets too dark, you can easily pull the visor up again and use the transparent visor.
Luxury inner liningThe inner lining is more luxurious compared to the standard lining. The lining is made of refined materials and has a luxurious look. The colours of the lining match the exterior of the helmet. The luxury lining can often be found on the more expensive helmets.
Removable inner liningThe inner lining is attached to the inner shell by snaps or velcro. The removable inner lining can be washed with neutral soap. In this way, the lining remains in good quality and the helmet fresh. In addition to the inner lining, the cheek pads are also removable.
Perforated inner liningThe ventilation system in the helmet ensures a constant air flow. Through the perforated inner lining, this air, which enters through the air channels, can also reach the skin. This way it always stays cool inside the helmet. In winter, the ventilation system can be closed so no air enters the helmet.
Nose deflectorThe nose deflector prevents warm air from blowing against the visor. This avoids condensation on the visor, which can reduce visibility. Alternatively, a Pinlock visor can be fitted on the helmet.
Chin deflectorBy using the chin deflector, the space under the chin is closed off. In this way the helmet will be more silent and the stability will be improved. A chin deflector is only possible in a system or full-face helmet.
Micrometric buckleThe micrometric buckle is the most frequently used buckle on helmets and easy to use. The rattle buckle ensures that it can be adjusted to the correct position. The buckle is easily opened by pulling the red loop.
Rear air systemThis helmet is equipped with rear air extractors. The air circle is generated by exploiting the movement, which creates a negative pressure and pushes the hot air inside towards the back of the helmet from where it comes out through the rear air extractors. In this way, the pilot benefits from a constant recycling of air inside the helmet, which always guarantees a temperature.
ECE 22-05 certificationIf you want to participate in traffic on a moped, scooter or motorbike in Europe you are obliged to wear a helmet with the ECE certification. This certification meet of a number of minimum requirements that a helmet must pass. The ECE certification can be found on the label attached to the chinstrap.
